Buddy, have a drink. But this 5 cent token won't go far at today's bar! John Beck Bar?

Look was was lurking in my old sewing machine.

The sewing machine is over 50 years old and I had to get it out to do a little stitching.  All kinds of things were hiding in the side compartment and this one is a mystery to me.

What was I doing with a drink token?  And how many years ago has it been since it would have made any kind of dent in your drink bill at the John Beck bar?

I scanned these pictures of the token which is about 1" in diameter. 

The sleuths, who grew up in this dry county of White surely know nothing about this token.  But if you do have knowledge, share it. Wonder if it is collectible???
