Get Mortgage Loan Updates On Your Mobile Phone - via Twitter

Curious what the 30-year fixed mortgage interest rate is today? The Hemet Home Loan Guy now has a Twitter page that will keep you updated...even on your mobile phone.

What is Twitter? It's like a condensed version of a social network site, like Active Rain, or a blog. Basically, it's used for short messages - 140 characters or less. If you connect it with your cell phone, you can get quick updates via txt messages from the people you 'follow'.

Vader Some people use it to connect with friends. Some people use it for fun (check out Darth Vader's Twitter).

The Hemet Home Loan Guy's Twitter will post updates on what is going on in the mortgage world. There's a widget on the right side of this blog that will show you an example of today's 'mortgage twitter'...it looks like this:

Set up your own twitter account, then visit the Hemet Home Loan Guy's twitter page and click follow. If you add mobile phone txt notificiation on your settings, then you'll get a short text message with the latest mortgage news and the current interest rates.

Important Note: Interest rates shown on the Hemet Home Loan Guy's Twitter are an average for someone with a 680 score, full doc and 20% down payment (purchase) or equity (refinance) for California. Each person's situation and real estate needs will determine the actual rate and costs of their home loan.

Joey, what a coincidence! I just mentioned Twitter to a friend that is a Realtor at a meeting tonight. She didn't know anything about it either do I told her that I would check it out. I am off to do that!
