I think most agents probably show their appreciation to their clients when they purchase a home by giving a  housewarming gift. Being a male agent I find it hard to buy the typical fruit baskets. A bottle of wine sounds ok to me but what if your buyer doesn't drink? But if this is the type of gift your looking for a good place for agents from Austin to shop would be at http://www.grapevinemarket.com/ . I'm sure each community has it's own exclusive wine shop.

A few things I've done in the past is to send gifts from New Braunfels Smokehouse. This is especially good for your buyrs that have relocated from out of state and have to yet enjoy the great taste of Texas meats.

Or recently for those out of state clients I've been sending them a subscription to  Texas Highways ( http://www.texashighways.com/ ) The reason I send this in preferance to Texas Monthly is that is shows more things about the state of Texas and its culture. Texas monthly has become more of a shoppers guide in my opinon.

Another great gift would be a mailorder from Blue Bell ( http://www.bluebell.com/icecream_order.htm ). What a surprise to recive at your doorstep in the middle of a hot summer day! Or on a cold winters eve as far as that goes!

If I lived in the Dallas area I think I would be sending gift certificates from Foga de Chao all day long.( http://www.fogodechao.com/locations/addisonTX.htm ) Wow what a dining experiance!

Basically as far as my clients go I try to send or give something unique from or in Texas . What a great state that has a lot to offer people! No wonder thay are all moving here.

Danny - I like your subscription idea more than the food and beverage - you never know who is on a diet!

Yeah, your right. But I usually send things from New Braunfels Smokehouse around the holidays when folks are eating a lot anyway. I've recieved a lot of positive feedback from my clients about it.

Hey Danny - if you ever get people into the Lake Travis ISD area, give them a subscription to the Lake Travis View.  It is great for parents.  During school, the last 10+ pages seem to be dedicated to shool sports, etc.  It is also great for people new to the area.  The View has a REALTOR special.  Call for a subscription and ask for Jay.  Tell him it is a client gift and you get half off a year's subscription.
