Do you have a medicine cabinet full of old prescriptions that you don’t know what to do with? Many of us leave unfinished prescriptions in medicine cabinets not realizing the dangers. These medications are less effective and can be dangerous once past their expiration dates. Also, leaving them there provides easy access for children and other people to find. I think it’s better to be safe than sorry in this case!
Okay, why can’t you just throw them out? Well, many people do not realizing that these medications eventually break down and can potentially infiltrate our drinking water or the water used for agriculture. It is best to dispose of them properly and April 27th is a great day to do it!
Simply bring any prescription medications to one of the participating sites listed below. All will be taken as is, with no questions asked. The event is from 10:00am-2:00pm on April 27th at the following local sites:
