Are you as sick of spammers as I am? Their black hat tactics are enough to drive a person crazy.
When we post an article to our blog, we usually welcome the comments of our readers. What we often find, however, is tons of spam disguised as "comments". Frustrating, to say the least.
I am a huge fan of WordPress. I love the cost-effectiveness, the user-friendly platform and tons of options for customization.
During my search for a plugin to help the eliminate (or at least greatly reduce) the spam issue I have been facing, I found a great little plugin called, Captcha Code. In about 2 steps, you install and set-up how you want your captcha to work. Ta da! A little more security and a lot less frustration.
Spammers don't want to be bothered searching for opportunities to post their comments. So, they use "spambots" that automatically find a way to torture you. These spambots aren't able to add spam comments because they are unable to automatically complete the code required to comment.
WordPress offers tons of spam plugins. So, choose which one works best for you.
