Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Valley Properties

The annual Tubac, AZ self-guided garden tour is sponsored by the Tubac Center of the Arts (TCA) and features beautiful Tubac area gardens, each providing a different aspect of the "art of gardening".

garden

#1 - A traditional Tubac garden with a large enclosed back patio full of native plants and easy to care for landscaping.    A special treat at this stop on the tour are the garden pots painted by Artist members on the patio.  Shannon Lockwood will speak here at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. about landscaping with native plants.

raised beds

#2 - Enchanting design incorporates raised garden beds and space to entertain into a profusion of color and functionality.  Lorin Jacobsen, local builder,  will be on site to answer questions and explain how to build and incorporate raised beds into your own garden.

#3 - An oasis in the desert overlooking the Anza Trail and the mesquite bosque, this is a garden where you’ll want to sit and soak in the peace and quiet.   Learn about photographing flowers/plants with Mary Ball at 10:00 a.m. and noon in this charming garden setting.

rose

#4 - A garden of beautiful roses and various kinds of  blooming plants and the pricklier cactus varieties.  Learn about planting, feeding and fertilizing roses and other plants from Bob Warren, at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

#5 - Take a deep cleansing breath as you step into an amazingly serene garden filled with plants, water features, sculptures and an elegant outdoor room for entertaining designed by local architect Arturo Vasques of Patagonia and built by Greg Johnrow.  Pick up tips about landscape design from Rori Wailes of Terra Flora Design at 11:30am and 2pm.
