It is that time of year when we get our gardens ready for the summer season. I love picking out new flowers and planning my raised beds.
The one thing that I am not fond of is the weeds that compete for attention in my gardens. They are quick too! One minute you are standing back admiring the grounds then next you are on your hands and knees pulling and plucking the weeds out or killing them with chemicals.
There is a simple solution and it was probably delivered to your front door this morning...NEWSPAPERS!
Simply mix in the nutrients into the soil, plant your vegetation and then place wet newspapers around the base, where you want to block weeds and cover with mulch. Then relax and enjoy your summer with the garden you imagined and without all the back breaking work to keep it that away!
