More and More foreign homebuyers are purchasing investment properties and vacation
homes in Pennsylvania according to a recent survey conducted by the National
Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and sponsored by the Pennsylvania Association
of REALTORS® (PAR) and the Pennsylvania REALTORS® Education Foundation
(PREF).
Almost two-fifths of international buyers in Pennsylvania purchased a home
in the Philadelphia area. In Pennsylvania the majority of these buyers came
from Europe, specifically, the United Kingdom but also from India, China, Canada
and Brazil. One of the reasons international homebuyers are finding Pennsylvania
a safe, attractive investment is because the price of real estate in Pennsylvania
did not increase as much as hot spots in California and Florida.
