This sign is supposed to say “Wyndham Lakes“. Age, neglect or simple lack of attention has taken hold here, though- and allowed the W to fall off- perhaps followed by the S, perhaps the M and then the S.
Little things mean a lot in this case? Absolutely. Wyndham Lakes might not be the first community out of one’s mouth if asked to name the toniest or most desirable one in Metro Orlando- but it is a pretty nice community.
Can’t tell that from the condition of their sign, though.
A community’s sign (especially a gated community’s sign) is it’s front door. If “curb appeal” matters (and I’d figure most would agree that it does), this sign and other “first impression” aspects of communities are no less critical to how “the community” as a whole looks upon this smaller community. A sign in disrepair may give pause to some looking to buy their first home in a “nice” community, and may cause some current homeowners to question exactly how much 3 letters could possibly cost- and why some of their HOA dues couldn’t be spent on them.
Little things mean a lot… when it comes to our offices and business practices, too.
Do you set a phone policy for yourself/your office, where calls are returned within a certain time frame? I can guarantee you folks calling you know the answer.
Does the first person clients meet upon entering your office don a smile every day and have a pleasant demeanor? You’d better know the answer- because folks visiting you surely do.
How do you treat those working for you? I’m not talking about how well you pay them, mind you- how do you speak to them? Do you encourage them, and thank them for making you look good- or simply act as if “They get a check, they should do well“? It’d be smart to know the answer to these questions- because others surely do.
Little things do mean a lot. So how many little things have you considered today?
