Today is Sunday, so for me, it is a Good Day for God to use someone else to inspire me. I received an email yesterday from one of the members of the Spiritual Rain Group. I read it and deep down in my heart I knew that I am supposed to share it. I have lived long enough to know when God is speaking to me through another one of his children. So here you go. Listen to God, one of his children and myself as we consider a Good God Day message.

  •  Some people are kind, polite, and sweet-spirited until you try to sit in their pews.

(I think this one is funny. I have seen that happen. No. Your name is not on the pew)

  • Many folks want to serve God, but only as advisers.

(There are other ways to serve God other than quoting him)

  • It is easier to preach ten sermons than it is to live one.

(Ahhh. Talking the talk but not walking the walk)

  • When you get to your wit's end, you'll find God lives there.

(Yup. He will break you to remake you)

  • People are funny; they want the front of the bus, the middle of the road, and the back of the church.

(I still think the Pastor should move his podium and join the folk in the back row)

  • Opportunity may knock once, but temptation bangs on your front door forever.

(You know your not supposed to open the door to temptation. Right?)

  • Quit griping about your church; if it was perfect, most couldn't belong.

(Nothing in this world is perfect. It is not meant to be. Perfection is out of our reach)

  • God Himself does not propose to judge a man until he is dead. So why should you?

(It is not our place to place judgment on others. We don't know what lies in the hearts of all mankind)

  • Some minds are like concrete thoroughly mixed up and permanently set.

(When you can't get your message through, stop trying. Let God handle it)

  • A lot of church members who are singing "Standing on the Promises" are just sitting on the premises.

(Yup. They're just killing time waiting on their tee time at the local Country Club)

  • We were called to be witnesses, not lawyers or judges.

(Share your beliefs but never presume that you know everything. You don't)

  • Be ye fishers of men. You catch them - God will clean them.

(Share your love. God will take it from there)

  • Coincidence is when God chooses to remain anonymous.

(Universal Law is God working behind the scenes)

  • Don't put a question mark where God put a period.

(This is hard to do, but do it anyway)

  • God doesn't call the qualified, God qualifies the called.

(I am a good example of that)

  • He who angers you, controls you!

(Allowing someone to anger you gives them power over you)

  • Prayer: Don't give God instructions -- just report for duty!

(I don't think God listens to us when we boss him around)

  • The task ahead of us is never as great as the Power behind us.

(God will never give you more than you can handle)

  • The Will of God never takes you to where the Grace of God will not protect you.

(This goes back to fear not being in The Bible 365 times. He will watch your back)

  • We don't change the message, the message changes us.

(Need I say anything about this one? Thought not)

  • Peace starts with a smile.

(All I have to say to that is AMEN and of course ROAR!)

Wishing you all a blessed Sunday and blessed week. Here have a smile :)

To The Gentlemen That Sent Me The Email...

Thank you for the inspiration. If you would like for others to know you inspired this post let me know. I will put a link directly to you in my post.

Sir, you should also know that this is not the first time you have inspired me. Don't stop thinking of me when you run across these things in cyberspace. I'm pretty sure God is using the Internet nowadays :)

Another great Sunday post. I always look forward to what you have to share.  Thank you for being so willing to speak out.

One of my favorites not on your list:

It's our job to lead them to the cross. What happens when they get there is up to God.

TLW- Thank you for another inspirational post.

"The Will of God never takes you to where the Grace of God will not protect you."  This has got to be the hardest one. Really tests your faith when you realize that you really are NOT in control.

Another Good God Day Gem.  Sorry I'm so late.  We went to Church last night and enjoyed Sea World today.

Some people are kind, polite, and sweet-spirited until you try to sit in their pews.

This one is my favorite. I don't know how many times I've heard, "I don't think he's Catholic but he's real nice and shows up with her every Sunday!" And that means he's...what?  Hey, he's here!
