Marion County real estate market has its best month in years

Pending sales continued to skyrocket during March, registering at 669 sales — 71.1 percent more than the same month a year ago and the highest overall since before 2009.

New listings, which replenish the existing home sales market, continued to struggle. During March, there were 797 new single-family home listings, only 1.3 percent greater than March 2012 and the lowest number in three months. The housing inventory fell to 3,352 units, 18.1 percent less than March 2012; that’s the lowest it’s been since before 2009."
