"Our home and land has NEVER flooded".(The seller's say) Simply go to the town office or court house and look up the "WATER TABLE" in the area.
Always make sure you get "TITLE INSURANCE". Even if you are buying your home with cash you should still purchase Title Insurance. You never know what Relatives might be on the deed, No matter how old the deed is. There could also be an old construction loan that was never completed. Protect your purchase with title insurance.
Is this home in the line of low air traffic? Contact the FAA and they will send you your area's flight pattern.
Is this home near good schools? Simply go to www.greatschools.net and find out about the schools in your area.
