When It Comes To Purchasing a Home~Women Find No Glass Ceiling

A lot of purchasing power in our pockets Dorie-however, we still have to work longer and harder to make the same amount of money - can you imagine the droves of women buying homes if we were paid equally?

In my inspections I find that about 40% of them homes being inspected are for a single woman.

I think it's really good them wanting to have their head on straight and buy a home mainly for stability and comfort in their lives.

Dorie-Nice feature article. I like the title, yes we are seeing more single women in the Seattle marketplace buying homes as well. 

We are seeing single women of all ages buying. Not a new things as women have been working and making good money for decades. A good market niche.

I am blessed with my dealings with both genders however I enjoy the enthusiasm of my women clients. 

I agree that there are a higher percentage of single women in the market. It shows that women are more decisive in house purchasing and a great planner for the future. This is one of women's abilities that we proud of.

In this day and age women should be afforded exactly the same options as men.  We shouldn't see either gender differently when it comes to housing.  It's not surprising so many women are home buyers.

Dorie, We can't necessarily tell who they are and marital status, but it seems most of the lookers registering on Remax.com and our websites are female.  Still waiting for them to bust down our doors wanting to buy something!

Dorie, I am finding that too and of course single men deciding to buy. In the future singles may be our largest segment of the market.

Women are a force out there Dorie in the buying marketplace for homes. NO QUESTION about that. Great overview on this topic.

Great post and so very true. I have seem this trend for some time and acknowledge the courage it often takes to make these buying decisions.

Dorie- I love the sentiment of this.  I will never forget our neighbor across the street from us when we moved into our first home.  She was a single geologist and loved working on her yard and home.  With the help of her father, she did most of the projects herself.
