Trailside Park is located one mile west of the Silver Summit area and Highway 40 in Park City and covers a total of 63 acres, 17 acres of which are developed as recreational facilities.

There are basketball and sand volleyball courts here as well as two tennis courts with two more under construction, a skateboard park and bike park.

For the kids there are two playground areas similar to Willow Creek Park.  One for the smaller children and this one in another area of the park for the older children as well as another playground set for the younger ones.

There is also a fenced in dog park here where the dogs in your family can run around and play together to their hearts content off leash without worrying about them getting into any trouble or disrupting the many activities going on in the park.

There are two huge soccer fields at the park which are divided into many smaller fields in the spring and fall for youth soccer.  My 4 year old started playing last fall at the age of 3 and I frequently tell people that it just doesn't get any better than 3 year old girls soccer.  One girl will be dribbling with the ball and the other girls will be either looking at the clouds, waving to their parents or picking blades of grass off the field.  Another variation is similar to the Peleton in cycling where this mass of 3 year old girls will be around the ball slowly moving in one direction or the other, all kicking at the same ball, leaving 99% of the field empty.  It doesn't get any cuter than that.

There are also two pavilions for guest use that can also be rented for larger events and a contiguous building with conference room facilites.

Trailside Park is located on the opposite side of town as Willow Creek Park and is another great option for Park City locals and visitors alike.  In the spring and fall there are youth soccer leagues playing throughout Park City in numerous locations and all of this space comes in handy to satisfy the demand of all of these young children who want to play including both of my daughters.

Hi Scott - parks and recreational opportunities are such an important component of "the total picture" of the 'community' buyers use to select where to live.  With this informative post and more great photos, you've highlighted yet another great advantage of Park City.

Michael-thanks and given enough time I hope to hit them all.

Peter-the snow has been slowly receding but I do think April has actually been a colder month than March here.  Weird weather.  We hit 70 around March 10th and lately have been struggling to top 40.

Bruce-yeah, one of many great parks here in Park City.  Quinn's junction is just up the road, I'll hit on that one sometime soon.

Will-I can speak for my family and I assure you that we take full advantage of it.

Scott~ the local knowledge you have of your local areas are what buyers and sellers must have before buying or selling. I love the way you show the amenities and park, "suggested"

What? no snow in these pictures except on the mountain tops.... I guess spring is coming to Trailside Park in Park City, sounds like a wonderful 63 acre park and provides the community with many options, even a dog park is a bonus.

Jon-thank you, its a pretty big park with lots to do for everyone in the family.

Bob-We finally got into the 50's yesterday and the snow is gone from my house, still plenty in the mountains though.  Almost as much as we have had all year long up there.

Hannah-Thank you for the nice words today.

Belinda-they have been crowded already.  I noticed the skateboard park in town packed with kids when I drove by the other day.

Jan-thank you and its nice to see you.  I bet it's nice this time of the year in Scottsdale.
