Hi y'all! I am so incredibly excited about Friday nights this spring! The Sounds of Spring Concert series at North Richland Hills Centre starts Friday April 26. Our family went to all of them last year and we had the greatest time! They have previously been at the NRH2O grassy field but now with the opening of the North Richland Hills Centre last April they have been moved to the Centre Events Plaza.
We enjoyed sitting out under the stars and listening to music while 
our son played around and danced on the blanket. They have a kid's zone with free games, arts and crafts to keep them occupied as well. We brought a picnic dinner each time and sat back to eat and relax. This year the city of North Richland Hills has brought in GOURMET FOOD TRUCKS in case you don't want to pack in a picnic. One thing you want to make sure you DON'T pack is any glass and this is a non smoking venue.
Tomorrow night's lineup is Fast Lane, a tribute to the Eagles as far as the entertainment goes. The food trucks scheduled are Hummingbird Sweet Shoppe, Easy Slider and Rock and Roll Tacos. I am in LOVE with cupcakes so I can't wait to try the Hummingbird's offerings and we may just get some of those gourmet sliders. Here's one for example: bun, strawberry jam, bacon, goat cheese and an angus beef patty. HELLO? doesn't that sound delicious? I'm praying that Hummingbird makes their Beer and Bacon cupcake and the strawberry pretzel cupcake...they sound so good!
Last year they had fireworks at a few of the shows but it doesn't seem that they may be having
those this year.
The address is 6000 Hawk Ave and it's in between the North Richland Hills Public Library and the NRH Centre.
Gates open at 6 and the concerts begin at 7pm. Make sure you bring some comfy blankets and lawn chairs.
