Fatherhood real estate

One of the keys to success is to keep a healthy balance. I got into the real estate business so that my wife could stay home from work and be a full time mom. With another bambino on the way, time is ticking. Some days, it seems like I have plenty of time to the make the money we need for her to stay home and others it doesn't.

In my quest to create a stay at home mom, certain sacrifices of my time sometimes have to be made.  It is difficult to view myself as a good dad to my little girl when sometimes I only see her an hour or two a day. In the end, I know that it will be well worth her having a mom at home all of the time.

I, and I am sure many others, are seeking that healthy balance in our life.  With Valentines day around the corner, do something special for a family member to let them know you care. Take extra time to go out to dinner, watch or movie or just to write a short note.  It is the little things in life that make a huge difference. If we are happy with our personal relationships, it will carry over into our business.  No one wants to be around someone who is unhappy, that includes potential clients!

When I am so busy, I miss my little girl and my wife soooooooooo much. But they know that I am doing it for them if I make special times for them. Don't forget to take time out for your loved ones.  Remember, you won't be remembered for how much you worked, but rather for how much you loved and cared for others.

Hi Jamie,

So nice to hear such a young professional speak of balance in life. You're way ahead of the game imho when it comes to life and real estate. Iwas a single mom in the beginnng with two little ones, they went everywhere with me.

Good luck!

Jamie,

Great message!  You sound like a great dad!  I know your wife and your children will greatly appreciate your hard work.  As a mother of a 13 yr. old son let me tell you time goes by in a blink!  I am sure if you put God first, family and then your job everything will fall into place for you and your family!  Just a note, do something sweet for your wife but also buy something separate for your little girl, even if it is just a box of chocolates.  My dad always did that for me and my sister and that is something we always will remember.

Hi Jamie. I work & work & work for the future of my family. I want my children to have everything they will need, along with some of the things they'll want. You are correct though, we have to find a balance because I also want to be apart of the special memories that my children will gain in life. I don't want to just be remember as the Dad who was always working. All work and no play makes Dad dull guy!
