I couldn't help but want to brag about the article I read about Chandler, Arizona a few weeks ago...The City of Chandler was named one of the best places in America for the young people to live.  For the third consecutve year in a row, the America's Promise Alliance awarded the Coalition for Chandler Youth with this title:  "100 Best Communities for Young People." 

Now I guess I am biased since my husband and I have lived here for the last 10 years along with our two children and golden retriver.  But when the article went on to say Chandler was recognized for their commitment to the youth, and providing a healthy, safe and caring environment, I couldn't disagree with them. 

Chandler has so much to offer.  My favorites are the monthly Downtown Chandler Artwalk.  This happens once a month from 5pm-9pm.  The ambiance is so vibrant and incredible...with the re-development of the downtown Chandler. it is fun to park your car, walk, visit the local artists and stores. There is always a nice glass of wine to taste and a great restaurant to try.  Another favorite is the Downtown Chandler Community Partnership kicks off of the Chandler Marketplace on the second Saturday of every month from October until April. Visitors can enjoy a Farmers Market with fresh, locally grown produce, baked goods and more, in Dr. A.J. Chandler Park. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.   Also, my children just love the new Tumbleweed Park - "Playtopia!"   This park is a 2.5 acre park of "Farm Land, City Land, and Critter Land."  The imaginative play is incredible...Oh to be a kid and have the most incredible play zone.   Chandleraz  this is City of Chandler's official website for the in's and out's.  And don't let me forget about the Ostrich Festival  March 7-9, 2008.  If you haven't experienced this festival, it is worth doing.
