I have written several blogs now about developing business, Win the Day, being the most recent of them.  I spend a fair amount of time and money trying to build out my business and come up with new ideas to make things better or stronger.

I regularly seek associations (Look to a Higher Power) with people who are more successful than I, in my field or others.  They will have ideas that I can implement, or adapt to my business.  I also consume a steady diet of books.  I get at least one good idea or viewpoint from virtually every book I read.

My question for you is this...where are you getting your new ideas on ways to develop your systems or business?  Is it from books? Mentors? Coaches? Website?

Let's share what's working so we can all be better than we are today.

Some of my favorite books:

Good to Great by Jim Collins
Play to Win by Wilson and Wilson
The E-Myth Revsited by Michael Gerber
The Power of Full Engagement by Tony Schwartz

I read....a lot....and have to agree with you - at least one good idea out of each book I read. I also belong to a group of business people and our sole meeting purpose is to come up and talk about different marketing ideas/strategies.

Sabine,

Is it a small, informal group, or is it more like a BNI/LeTip group?  I meet with individuals regularly, but haven't formed a group setting outside the groups put together by Buffini and Company.

Bob,

Could you please add your photo to our group site?  Thanks!  Hope to see you in Hartford in April 07.  Did you notice he is coming to New Haven, Hartford, and Mass. in March.  Half-day get up and get going!
