networking tips

WEEK ONE NETWORKING TIPS:

•ü  Getting someone's information is more important than giving your card because it puts you in control of the process.

•ü  When you do meet someone and get their information, send them an email within 24 hours, even if it is just to say "nice meeting you."

•ü  Have a database to put contacts into.  Post it notes don't count.  If you have a database, then you will be organized, in control, and can systematically work contacts to generate referrals through your relationship marketing efforts.

•ü  At events, be the early bird and the late bloomer (early to get there...late to leave)

good points, I like those, but a card or a nbote in the mail is much better that email

This is sound advice. I too believe a well designed client database is key to the success of a company.
