Realtors - Are You Ready for Google Glass?

I just viewed this video of life captured by Google Glass.

How can you imagine using Google Glass as a real estate professional?

  • Previews
  • Home Tours
  • Neighborhood Tours
  • Day in the life of a Realtor
  • ?

When I first heard of Google Glass I thought it was a ridiculous waste.  Now, I am starting to think it might be revolutionary, not only for real estate agents, but for the world.

What do you think?

Update May 2, 2013 - Here is a new video about Glass:

I'm ready. Where do I sign up? Really cool product. I think we found the next visionary within Google. Now which color would look good on me? Thanks for sharing Rob.

Most people though Google Wave was the next big thing...then it was Google +.  I really don't see Google Glass catching on.

I'm going to have to check this one out.  It is definately on my to do list for tomorrow.  Google has some things that have worked and some things they have abandoned, but overall, they keep adding some things that are very beneficial.

Interesting technology.  Was amazed to watch the video and then the box within a box defining a jelly fish?  Wow!  We could shoot a video and then ask Google to upload the HOA information at the same time.  Might be a time saver and more information for whoever is watching.  Hmmm....

I gotta "google" ... "Google Glass" now! Haven't heard of it prior to this but I think it would be a GREAT tool for virtual tours of properties!  Unbelievable what can be done now!  Thanks for sharing!

I think it's a camera.  No different than we have now, except for the fact it's mounted on our face.  Not a huge fan of it, but we'll see where it goes.

On some level, I am so tired of the "next" great Google product! Barely get comfortable with one and it's on to the next.

Paddy, good idea to wait at least a year.

You're welcome, Judi.

So true, Hella.

Nathan, it will be interesting to see.

Rebecca, you would look gorgeous in gold, to match your earrings, or red, to match your lipstick.

Yeah Marc, the Google Wave turned into a droplet.  Google Plus is getting powerful, though.

Brenda, it's a pair of eyeglasses, with a video camera looking out, and an Internet display screen that you can see with your right eye.

Google has some very creative designers, don't they Joan?

Good idea Jan.

Kent, sometimes ya just gotta Google something.

I think we all feel information overload at some time, Praful.

You don't get it yet, Jirius?  Have you read the comments?

Glad you got it, Christine.

Amanda and Jared, it's not just a camera.  It's also instant information from the Internet when you just ask it a question.  Imagine Apple Siri on steroids (or should I say on estrogen?).

I feel your fatigue, Nina.

Rob, Talk about mutitasking with a computer strapped to your head. Oh my, just image the lawmakers having to adjust the laws to prohibit driving with a computer for a distraction. Technology is sure changing.
