Is There A Senior in your life who lives alone in their Brooklyn New York Home- Sign them up for NYC Senior Carrier Alert Program
Brooklynites and seniors if you live alone or if you have a senior relative or neighbor who lives alone in their Brooklyn home you may worry that should they fall or become ill, no one will know that help is needed. Carrier Alert is a voluntary program that can help.
When an individual enrolls in Carrier Alert, the Department for the Aging (DFTA) will record their address, phone number and information about how to reach their designated emergency contacts. By registering your mail carrier can also alert 311 if mail accumulates in mailboxes over a, extended period of time. The 311 operator will notify DFTA - DFTA will call your emergency contacts - including your super if needed or even contact the police - to ask them to make sure you are safe and well.
So if there is a senior in your life who lives alone in their Brooklyn New York Home register for the Carrier Alert Program.
