The Lafayette luxury home sales report for April 2013 reflects a generally steady market for homes listed or sold over $1M. Homes in good condition are generally selling within a couple weeks and for about 3% above the listing price, though some homes sold for 10% to 20% above listing price in April. Three of the homes sold in April were priced just under $1M, but sold above the $1M mark.
Current activity reflects an improved market versus this time last year and the supply of homes for sale is not keeping up with demand. Expect strong prices throughout the summer even if the supply of homes for sale increases.
