In the evening edition of Forbes.com 2/7/2008 an article titled "Best Cities For Bargain House-Hunters" names Salt Lake City, Utah as one of the Best Places to buy real estate in today's market. (Salt Lake is ranked #1)
What exactly do they say?
"They'd be smart to look for markets where job growth is strong, foreclosures are relatively low and inventory is high. With these factors in place, buyers can still dictate terms of sale and negotiate prices, but aren't as exposed to the economic and lending risk problems that have sunk many markets around the country.
"Good places to look? Salt Lake City and Raleigh, N.C., where there are plenty of sellers slashing prices, but not because of a lending meltdown. "
If you are thinking about buying a home in one of the best parts of the country, make sure you also seek out the best level of representation.
Today's homebuyers should seek out an Exclusive Buyer's Agent - an agent hired by the Buyer to get the Buyer the best price and terms. Exclusive Buyer's Agents do not list homes so they avoid the divided loyalties that buyers can end up with if they use a traditional real estate agent (who works for the seller).
Kiplinger's Personal Finance said in November 2007: "In a market in which negotiation counts, you'll do well to hire a buyer's agent to help you identify good prospects and to frame and negotiate your offer."
Homebuyer Representation, Inc. is the only local company representing Buyers ONLY in Salt Lake City and the Surrounding Areas. We do not list any homes. We never represent Sellers. We work for BUYERS ONLY on the Buyer's side of the transaction.
We work to get BUYERS the Best Price and Terms when they Buy...
