The annual spring migration attracts thousands of visitors from all over the country to Chatham-Kent. There is a schedule of events planned or you can chose your own agenda. In past years birders have got a look at some rare visitors to the area. In May 2005, the Kirkland's Warbler made an appearance. In 2008, the Townsend Warbler and in 2010 the Blue Grosbeak stopped in Rondeau Provincial Park during the spring migration. You can be sure to be in your glory if you enjoy birding. The seasonal returnees such as the Prothonotary Warblers and many other beautiful creatures can be sighted.

Rondeau Provincial Park in Chatham-Kent is the second oldest Ontario Park dating back to 1894. it is nestled deep in Carolinian Canada and it's forest is home to several rare species of trees as well as birds.
