Recently, I have had several requests from out of state RV dealers to notarize transfers of titles in Nevada. I began to wonder if this type of transaction is legal. After conferring with the office of the Secretary of State for Nevada, I have found that this type of transaction is legal, providing all of the conditions I am attesting to are factual. Providing the recreational vehicle actually arrives in Nevada and both the Seller (or agent of the Seller) and the Buyer are present to conduct and sign the transfer, I am then permitted to sign the notarization.
For all Nevada Notaries, I thought this was a useful bit of information. I normally conduct Loan Signings, as a CNSA for the National Notary Association and the general type of Acknowledgements, Oaths and Jurats which comprise the day to day bulk of my workload. For those of you living in "border cities" of Nevada, (adjacent to other states) you may consider tapping into this market.
