I just witnessed first hand a car chase in the City of Riverside where there were at least 10 cruisers and several motors in vehicle pursuit vigorously but safely while the getaway vehicle was taking risks swerving and speeding as well as running lights to get away. Then, the suspect realized there was no hope, abandoned the vehicle and took off running. Riverside Police just one block later had the suspect in custody

One of the finest departments around who provides excellent police work, services and protection will not tolerate any shenanigans by criminals within this City and they stand ready, willing and quite able to do something bout it. I am amazed that the criminal mentality doesn't consider that. For every risk or act of law-breaking that a criminal would consider doing or planning a greater force to stop them is in full force and affect
CITIZENS
How criminals wish to learn about this is up to them. It also may interest lawbreakers to know that there were several hundred people watching this pursuit and the citizens of Riverside will not stand by and watch this blatant disregard of rules and laws just take place. Everyone one of them was standing by to assist police if and when called upon
CHANGE OF PLANS?
Criminals go somewhere else and if not, plan on a immediate and possibly permanent change of plans if you persist in breaking law in the City of Riverside. The City management wont tolerate it, the citizens of Riverside wont tolerate it and the police wont tolerate it. If you fancy a career that includes being handcuffed and thrown into a police cruiser and then a stay in Riverside County Jail complete with bookings, bail (if you are lucky) and court appearances come forward for your first lesson in CRIME DOES NOT PAY.
