More tax incentives: Higher Homestead
Florida voters approved Ammendment One. The Homestead Exemption was increased from $25,000 to $50,000 for your homestead. It is retroactive, so if you buy a house in 2008 the new exemption will apply to you.
Portability was also approved when Florida voters approved Ammendment One. Portability of accumulated Save our Homes savings for home owners who move from one homestead to another following certain guidelines.
