The Brookside Art Annual was postponed due to the snow. It will resume as scheduled tomorrow.

The Brookside Art Annual Fair takes place on the western edge of the Brookside shops at 63rd & Wornall. The art displays take up the whole block between 63rd Street and Meyer Blvd including all the parking behind the Brooksider Bar & Grill, Blue Grotto, the dry cleaners, Commerce Bank, and all the shops on the west side of that block. There are activities for children at the fair. Strollers are welcome!
According to Art Source, this is a 'national caliber event' which attracts 'affluent, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable clientele.' There were about 200 artists at the Brookside Art Fair last year and we expect about the same number this year. Artists come from all over North America to participate. Sculpters, painters, leather and metal artists, fabric artists - you name the kind of art and I'll bet you'll find at least one artist working in that medium!
In addition to the many restaurants and pubs in Brookside, food vendors from local restaurants will be on hand so you can try some new treats. Eat, drink, and buy art!
The bus line runs along Wornall Road, so if you wanted to have a few adult beverages there'd be no need to worry about driving. Buses run north and southbound on both Wornall Road and Brookside Blvd. Buses run east and west on 63rd Street. See the little blue boxes on the map? They are bus stops.
Of course, if you live in Brookside, you can just walk. Or ride a bicycle.
Please remember to drive slowly on 63rd Street and on Meyer Blvd. between Main and Wornall - and not just for the Art Fair! There are pedestrians of all ages ambulating around Brookside morning, noon, and night. Thank you!
