Kanantik Resort, Belize
Unit 19, Kanantik Resort
That is where we stayed for 6 nights. It was less than 400 SF, but we weren't spending a lot of time in there. Mostly just sleeping and napping, which is just more sleeping! The construction was very nice but (intentionally) primitive. You could see through the floor in places (tiny cracks) and there were lots of places you could see between the walls and roof line. Plus, the roof was actually thatch or palm leaves. There was zero insulation, but the unit stayed very comfortable with the little AC unit running. Just to be clear the unit was great and I had no problems with it, but someone who wants a Hilton or Sheraton this isn't for you. The wood work was beautiful and the bathroom was very nice too.
My biggest complaint was the quality and cost of the food. It was $40 (American) for a basic dinner and the price was the same for kids! We ate at another resort just up the road and it only cost $53 (American) to feed 5 people! (We stayed an extra day that wasn't included in the All Inclusive package and that is how we found out about the food costs.)
If you are doing an all inclusive vacation here and want secluded and quiet this is great. If you plan on paying for the meals and drinks separately DO NOT go here.
I was standing at the oceans edge when I took this picture, so you are right on the Caribbean Sea shore.
