They Work Hard for Their Honey

I have a large flowering hedge that is in bloom and I have been observing a mass of bees working their little wings off collecting the pollen. I have been right up close and they don't seem to be bothered by me and seeing them collect the pollen and then deposit it on their legs is really facinating.

We all know they do it but have you ever watched them up close. I will take the camera out in a bit and see if can catch one in action. I have no idea where they travel to to deposit all the pollen to make the honey but I am sure glad I have this hedge to help them out.

The older I become, the more facinated I am by natures way of providing and keeping life in balance. It knows its own seasons and what's expected and nature just delivers.

I am with you on nature.  I think I knew where my bees went.  My neighbor had 2 hives.  Very nice picture and cute subscribe button.

Hi William.  That is an excellent shot!  Without my reading glasses on, I wouldn't have seen that bee as clearly if i'd been standing there!

It's wonderful even seeing Honey Bees at work these days!  In recent years, they have come under such stress!  I always admire that you can so sharply capture Hummingbirds, or other swiftly moving wildlife as well as you do!  My trigger finger is far too slow.  By the time I snap the shot, they are off and doing something else.  My reaction time is a quicker with other things though:-)

Good morning William. I love this: the ironic title and the wonderful picture. You should publish a book of your photos. Suggested.

William, Those busy little bees make interesting watching. The fact that so many of them are about their purpose is a life lesson we can watch too.

William,

Great picture, the other day at work we had a swarm of bees, so I got a full accounting of bees from a bee keeper, he said I could stick my hands in the swarm and not get stung since they were looking where to nest and had not chosen anything and they would be gone in 24 hours they were but I did not stick my arm in the swarm.

Hi William, I just found this one. Love the picture and I love bees. I liked your sentence about the "plder I become". I feel the same way. Maybe wheen we're younger we don't have the time to notice nature as much; or we're too wrapped up in ourselves.
