Terrorist attacks, completed or planned, have changed air travel significantly over the past few years. I've become accustomed to the extra hours at airports prior to departure, leaving my Swiss army knife at home, taking off my shoes, and the many other changes - but to travel with no laptop at hand? no cell phone? no earphones to block out engine noise and screaming children? no camera? That's hard to imagine. Hopefully those "temporary" changes will be gone before I fly again in a month. We're always careful NOT to put these in our checked luggage, which we haven't been able to lock, because of items missing from our checked luggage, in addition to possible damage and loss. In airports waiting for our flight and between planes - no computer and no cell phone, no Blackberry or iPod?  That's life changing!

This is a changed world.  Yesterday my husband went to fly and took out his shaving creme etc etc.  I said what will you do and he said he would sort it out when he got to the hotel.  Well I have never checked my tablet or phone etc and always kept it with me will have to see how all this sorts out.

I sure hope it doesn't come to checking our computers, phones, etc. However, think back as how we did business before these inventions, long and slow. I'm traveling to a NAR conference next week, I'll let you know what works and doesn't.
