For 30 minutes every Sunday morning from 5:30 to 6:00 on WPHT 1210 am.  Vince and I look forward to sharing with you some of the issues we see every day.

Face it. If we believed everything we heard or read none of us would never even think of buying a home again. The news has been nothing but negative about real estate across the country.  The next 30 minutes is our opportunity to dispel the myths associated with the real estate landscape in your local area.  Within every marketplace there are obstacles and solutions on the path to tremendous opportunities. Vince and I believe that most people are looking for practical advice. Please feel free to call 215-740-8999.

The Real Estate News this week was all but nonexistent. The best I found was that more people are buying homes before they get married than ever before. Who needs an engagement ring. Get a key ring for the new home. Nearly 1 in 4 married couples bought a home before they were married according to the survey. So I will commit to a 30 year mortgage before I will commit to my partner.  So Now even Fannie and Freddie are calling for higher prices over the next year. Fannie Mae found that 51% of those they surveyed believe that prices will rise over the next 12 months while only 35% thought the prices would fall. Only a year ago the survey found that 49% thought the prices would fall. 71% of those surveyed believe that now is a good time to buy a home. Interestingly those selling their homes only 30% thought it was a good time to sell.

Today Vince and I are Today Vince and I are joined by Bill Howlett from ReMax Ready. Bill is currently representing a buyer of a property owned by HUD and some of the requests have been somewhat humorous. Bill is a former St. Joe’s Prep and Muhlenberg Graduate who decided to take his finance expertise and help prospective home buyers navigate the maze of buying a home. We want to focus on the 203K FHA renovation loan. The 203K is one of the most misunderstood loans in the real estate community today. With foreclosures and REO’s on the market needing anything from simple cosmetics to complete makeovers the 203K loan may just be the cure needed to make that sale happen.

Tune in to find out more about how to buy distressed properties.

Please join us Sunday Morning at 5:30 on WPHT 1210 am for an honest assessment of the markets in your area.
