Free Zumbia Class in Friendswood!
My friends over at the City Friendswood sent me an email invite today and I thought I would pass the invite down to those in and near Friendswood who would like a free Zumba Class.
Summer Beach time is coming up and what better way than to shape up than with a Zumba class! This class is so much fun and a total work out. You can be sure to burn a boat load of calories and get in the best shape for that itsy bity tinny yellow polka dot bikini!
I bet you didn’t know that Zumba fitness dance was started by Beto Perez. He is a Colombian dance and choreographer and uses Samba, salsa, merengue and mambo (one of my favorites) to create this dance. I was surprised that belly dancing, Bollwood and martial arts was also part of Zumba.
The development of Zumba was quite by accident. Beto Perez had forgotten his exercising tape and used a mix of his regular samba and merengue tapes and created Zumba! It was a success!
Zumba classes are taught around the whole world. There are different classes for the ages of different peoples. You can go just about anywhere and find a class for yourself no matter what age you are. There are even Zumba classes for children who are four years old. Zumba Classes have the goals of improving one's muscle strength, posture, mobility, and coordination. The older one gets the more important mobility becomes.
Since I have an issue with stumbling around I plan to sign up to a beginner’s class. I love to dance and I need to exercise so what better way of burning calories and getting in shape and taking care of my mobility issues all at one time.
So if you’re ever in Friendswoods take a look to see if you see me dancing around in a Zumba Class. I’ll be the one wearing a green genie outfit!
