A few days ago I posted this riddle:

You are holding two coins that total 30 cents. One of them is not a nickel. How is this possible, and what are the coins you are holding? Both coins are from the US and are in circulation.

What's the answer? Simple...you have a quarter and a nickel. The riddle states that ONE coin is not a nickel, but says nothing about what the other one is!

We need to learn to think outside the box. This will help our clients in our marketing, advertising, and all areas in which we work!

Damn,.... I thought 1 was a penny.  I was wrong... :-(

Seriously, it's a great point.  (Although I hate the term "Think outside the box").  It never hurts to think a little bit more rather than "jump" with no thought at all.

Hmm, well this does make a person think.

That was tricky!  I didn't get it right. It not only helps to think outside the box but to read each word carefully! :) Thanks for the brain teaser!

Thats great, think outside the box, our Listen to what is being said.  We can help our clients by effectively communicating with them.  That means listening to them and making sure we truly understand what it is they need or want.  Your riddle shoukd help us all listen better in the future.  Thanks.

HAHA - My husband loves that riddle.  He usually poses that question to servers at restaurants and cashiers in the grocery stores.  The answer is obvious and yet everyone thinks it's a trick question.  Maybe it is!

I did get the answer right but this sounds like the tricky way real estate tests are worded!

Very tricky! I think it is more of a play on words than a logical conclusion but then I am terrible at riddles.
