For my last settlement surprise I hired local Ellicott City, MD artist Jill-Ann Stolley to create something very special. Jill-Ann is a former client of mine who has become a friend. Over a cup of coffee recently we talked about her new adventure as an independent artist in Howard County, MD and her online shop The Lavender Whim. If you know me a bit, you know that I am a strong supporter of locally owned and operated businesses .. and, thus, an idea was born.
Jill-Ann is super talented, loves vintage charm and has great vision. My buyers of the Quinby St house in Silver Spring, MD also have great vision and were searching for a home with lots of charm. We knew the minute we entered the Quinby house, that this was the one. It was in need of some TLC inside and out, some landscaping and bursts of color. My buyers' vision also included getting rid of the concrete drive-way and changing the walk-way to red brick..
I relayed their vision to Jill-Ann and the end result was one of the most beautiful closing gifts I have ever had the pleasure of giving! No matter where life will lead my Silver Spring, MD home buyers, they will always have something to remember their very first home.
Jill-Ann , The Lavender Whim, has opened the virtual doors on Etsy.com. If you are looking for a special gift for any occasion by a local Ellicott City, MD artist, check out her shop or visit her Facebook page.
