Wordless Wednesday - Baby Bird

This year on Mother's Day, I became the adoptive" mom" of this little baby bird.  We found him on our dock which a good ten feet away from shore and how he got there is still a mystery.  The previous days had been somewhat windy so it's not impossible he fell out of the nest but the nearest tree is at least 30 feet from the location we found him.

Too little to fly, here he is, tiny and a little weak.  What kind of bird is he and how does his adventure unfold?

That is a tiny one. He's not even fully feathered yet. You will need to keep it warm. A heat lamp works great for this. But don't let him get too hot.
