Things to do in Middle Georgia: The Perry Farmer's MarketEvery Saturday from 8:00am til Noon, May to Nov, consumers looking for things to do in middle Georgia should come out to The Perry Farmer's Market and show support to our local farmers for all their hard work.  If you are looking for fresh produce, the corner of Washington and Commerce streets in Perry GA is where you need to be each Saturday!

Just a sampling, but some of the items available include homemade canned goods, local honey, fruits, vegetables, flowers, jams, and even pickled items to whet your appetite. Organic produce is available as well as goods via the local Mennonite community.

Anita, We all love a farmers market. There is nothing better than fresh from the farm produce. I can't wait to taste fresh strawberries and a tomato from the vine! Yummy!!!!!!

BLiz...I will be a regular as I do like buying local whenever I can.

Ginny...I love the fruit/veg and the fresh pies!

I am getting hungry just thinking about all the goodies, Bobbie.

Norman...absolutely.  The peaches are fantastic.

Roy...that is exactly what my hubby says too.  HA.

Larry/Sheila...it is a wonderful way to show support to local farmers.  I highly encourage it.

I don't even think our Farmers market will be much this year. We are still in a really bad drought. No water for all the goodies you would get from the farms.

That is a shame Clint.  We could use a little rain here too but not yet in a drought.
