help tornado victims

Help Tornado victims - Agent Genius, together with Bloodhound Blog and Jay Thompson have started fundraising efforts for those affected by the tornadoes this past week.

"This week, thousands of people lost their homes and over 54 lost their lives. The destruction is devastating and over five states have a long road ahead in rebuilding after these massive destruction".

Fundraising efforts are about showing our fellow neighbors that we care, please help spread the word and know that any little bit helps - no amount is too small.

You can also go straight into the Red Cross website and donate there. Let's help these people pull their life back together.

Rick & Ines,

Nice reminder about the Red Cross.  That is a good idea to have the link on your blog.  I'm sure every little bit of help is greatly appreciated.

I taught a course at the Northern Virginia Assn of Realtors and about 35% of the attendees were spanish speaking with ESL.  I made contact with one very good agent and he's sold two referrals for me in the past 2 month.  I put a blurb on some web sites abour "speaking Spanish" and when the buyers call, I get Camilo on the line and he takes good care of them.

If he isn't available, I can get a uno, dos, tres, quatro, cinco, etc. phone number.  That's all we need.

Reaching out to the Spanish speaking consumer is smart business.

Michael - I figured a lot of people would hesitate to give to a paypal account, so the idea of offering the direct link to the red cross may solve that problem.

Lenn - you know I love you but you lost me here.  Did I write anything is Spanish?  (although I totally agree with you and everything you said)

She lost me too....

I think that's such a great idea Ines. I can't even begin to imagine what it most have been like to be caught in those storms.

Ines, I was wondering where you were.  Glad that you are blogging again, but I wish it was about a happier topic.  Mother Nature can be a powerful force, and there is no protection from her powerful forces.  You are doing a valuable service by promoting the need for help.  It is a devastating thing to lose your home and possessions.

Monika - Although they do compare tornadoes to hurricanes, I cannot even imagine not getting any warning and being stuck in one of those very scary torms - we need to do everything we can to help.

Hey George- I've been blogging (maybe too much), just not here in AR because of lack of time.....I do miss the fun over here.  I wish it could be a happier topic, but it's something we can all do something about.  The devastation is indescribable and we need to do something.

B&BJ - I'm always so impressed with the amount of people that come out of nowhere to help Floridians after a hurricane - it's our duty to help without a doubt.
