National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day is May 15! Celebrate the Day!
It is almost impossible to have a bad chocolate chip cookie. Some I will admit are better than others. Neiman Marcus makes a great one. I like mine with dark chocolate and nuts and warm and soft right out of the oven. So for today, celebrate the day and eat a chocolate chip cookie on National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day.

I know..... what does this have to do with Staging? Absolutely nothing. However, I do love them and in my mind they are The National Cookie of the United States!
National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day is May 15th, and on this day the cosmos gives you Carte blanche to eat, bake and/or buy as many chocolate chip cookies as you want.
** (Word of caution: if you are a diabetic or on a new food intake regime, it’s best that you just watch!)
What do you think of when you think of chocolate chip cookies→ warm chocolate chips scattered inside a crisp cookie →the distinct aroma of freshly baked cookies coming right out of the oven →a tall cold glass of milk →your mom waiting for you after school or a big game with a plate of warm chocolate chip cookies →HOME Sweet HOME.
I have often told my husband that I would give him most anything except for my last chocolate chip cookie. However I should clarify my statement to include only homemade chocolate chip cookies. Last year out of either boredom or a bad case of “Martha Stewart”-itis, we set out to perfect our chocolate chip cookie recipe. After 5 batches of cookies, this is what we determined.
If you prefer your chocolate chip cookie crispy then:
1. Do not use a mixer to cream the butter and sugar; use a wooden spoon.
2. Do not over-mix. (This lets in too much air)
3. Bake at 350 degrees for about 13 minutes rather than 375 degrees for 8-11 minutes.
4. Do not use a silicone baking mat on the cookie sheet.
