Rhododendron in bloom

Last week there wasn't a bloom on this Rhododendron bush... With having frost on Monday and Tuesday ...I wasn't expecting to see any blooms... and yesterday with the temps in the 80s we are now starting to get these beautiful flowers.  Driving into the garage I just happened to notice the blooms and grabbed my phone and captured some photos.

Beautiful color and such a lovely flower.  I'm glad they survived the frost Rebecca.

Rebecca, you must have a green thumb.  When we lived up north I tried and tried and tried to grow these beautiful plants.  No luck.  Sad.  They're beautiful.

Good morning Rebecca,

We had the most beautiful Rhododendron bushes in our yard growing up in upstate N.Y. I remember always making my teachers a corsage out of the giant blooms! They are so beautiful...thank you for bringing back some fond memories!

Horray for Spring. Our Rhododendron's have buds all over them and looks like they will be popping out next week. Beautiful collage!

Rhodies are so pretty, Rebecca. One of our local parks has tons of them and I just love it when they all bloom.

Rebecca, lovely bush and great collage. Thanks for sharing your rhododendron as mine does not have single bloom this year. I may have to move it. I was just looking at it this afternoon & wondering where I should replant it. Have good weekend.

My mother had several rhododendrons growing in her garden.  The funny thing is I haven't planted any in my own.  Now I'm wondering, why not!

I have one out front, too, Rebecca, and it always makes me smile when I see it - especially first thing in the morning while I get my cup of coffee. The colors are so vibrant.

I used my Samsung Galaxy Note II phone to take the photos...the Rhododendron bush is really in full bloom today...my other ones are not doing so well... as the deer have really had some nice dinners :)   and those bushes may not bloom at all this year.

Howdy and afternoon Rebecca

Rebecca my friend, that Rhododendron sure does have mighty fine looking blooms!

The two small Rhododendrons we have last all their blooms because of a hard freez we had two nights ago. Our larger ones have not started blooming yet.

Have a good one
