COTS is the Committee on Temporary Shelter for the Burlington area. COTS hosts a few different fundraising events each year. There will be a 5k Run/Walk starting from Dorset Park in South Burlington on Sunday June 30, 2013. The run/walk will begin at 9:30. There will be a 1 mile kids run event beginning at 8:30.
The event is to raise public awareness about homelessness and to support COTS shelters and services for Vermonters who are homeless or who are at risk for losing their homes.
The scenic course will run along the Vermont National Country Club. The event is sponsored by Deal Chicken. All participants will receive a race t-shirt. The first 250 people to register will receive a chicken hat. Register at www.Chicken5k.com
