Great picture Joni! And, I love Lynn's comment about where the car paint went. . .Hilarious!
Joni, at first this looks like a great picture. Young love and all. But if I were this young woman, I'd be just about ready to slap his hand... if ya know what I mean... LOL?
It's also funny that my very first car back in 1964 was a solid black VW Beetle just like that. Almost no heat whatsoever from the heater, and on a good day if the wind was right... you could get it up to 60 MPH.
Joni, me too. They were one of my favorite cars... and I'd even love to have one of the new ones, as well. Well... the one before the newest new one.
I love the pretty pastel green color they offered, and loved the bud vase, too. In 1973 I even had a bright green Super Beetle. A fun car.
Joni I love it, I can only imagine what happened later on.
Peace and Love
Oh that young love, if only it would last..... just kidding
Joni, do you actually know this couple? your kiddos or brother/sister?
Have a beautiful weekend....
Joni - did you get their permission to post their picture :) just kidding all's fair in love and photos. I loved my red VW beetle (newer one) Maybe i should buy another one (except I don't like the newest ones.)
Awww, such a cute shot. We have been seeing a lot of this action lately Joni, Spring is in the air! ;)
Karen Ann: My cousin had one with eyes painted on the front and I thought it was the coolest car ever!
Noah: I'll tell you, we went to the old Trinity River Railroad Bridge and shot MORE engagement pictures. :)
Bob: That is my oldest son and his fiance.
Rebecca: That would be wonderful!! I would enjoy driving one too!! Lime green, for me!
Toni: My kiddos are used to me showing them off!! As for the cars, I love them all... Old and New!
Al and Peggy: Make that Love is in the air! :)
Joan: THANK YOU! OXOX
I have some more formal shots, but I liked this casual one. So I put it in picmonkey and used one of their flash from the past kind of old effects to make it look like an older picture. It boosted the color and rounded the edges. Looks kind of 80ish to me.
Joni, Brings back memories, I learned to drive (a stick) off of my mom's blue VW Beetle! So sweet that that is your son and his fiancee!
Roy: Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment. I appreciate you!
Christine: Thank you. I love them very much. SO excited to have a daughter! :)
Hi Joni,
At first glance this looked like your son... I later read on and found out it was. Please congratulate him on his engagement... she looks like a lovely lady!!!
Linda: Thank you! I will! I love my soon to be Daughter-In-Love! AND my long haired, tattooed, funny, sweet, precious son! :)
Cute picture, Joni! Those are some amazing tats! And have a great Memorial Day weekend.
