There are many activities at John Stiff Park for summertime fun that will keep you and your family occupied. At John Stiff Park in Amarillo off of South Bell, they have the Amarillo National Tennis Center, the skate park, many baseball fields, sand volleyball, Southwest Pool and many picnic areas with playgrounds throughout the rest of the park. If you love tennis then you should definitely check out the Amarillo National Tennis Center. Court fees are $1.50 before 5:30 pm and $2.00 after 5:30 pm which includes 90 minutes of play time. If you want an extra court it costs $2.00 more. Seniors (50 plus years) can play for $1.00 Monday through Friday between the times of 9am-3pm. Hours of operation are as followed: Monday-Thursday 9am-10pm, Friday 9am-6pm, and Saturdays vary depending on the time of the year. Summertime Saturday hours are 9am-10pm and Sunday 1pm-7pm. In June and July only the courts open at 8am except July 4th in which they are closed. They also offer annual permits. $100 for adults, $50 for juniors and $25 per each additional family member. If you want an adult combo pass for indoor outdoor it will cost $150 and $75 for each additional family member.
John Stiff Park in Amarillo also has their swimming pool. They are opened on May 25 - August 18 and are closed May 27-31 and June 3-7 and July 4th. Hours on Monday - Friday 12pm-5pm Saturday 12pm-6pm and Sunday 1pm-5pm. Admission Youth 1-12 $2.00, Adults 13-54 $3.00 and Seniors 55 and up $2.00. Annual passes are $75 for 1-12, adults 13-54 $85, seniors 55 and up $65, family of 4 $185 and $25 for each additional family member. They also offer swimming lessons for all ages in the morning and evening courses.
They have the skating terrain park for the skate boarders. It opens when the sun comes out to 11 pm. Please know your ability and knowledge of skating before you go out and explore the terrains.
