Rainy Day Projects
Oooh, it's another rainy day! I think this is one of the best excuses for a lazy, relaxing day - stay in your pajamas, drink some hot chocolate, and snuggle up with a good book or movie. Ah, the easy living.
But what happens when you finish that book or can't decide on another movie since you've seen them all...a few too many times? Hey, you got some energy and you've even finished that pesty house cleaning you wanted to get done! Yes, more relaxing. More hot chocolate. More...sitting, and sitting, and oooh watching the rain, and more sitting.
Face it, though we dream of these lazy, soothing days some people can start to go a little stir crazy being cooped up inside.
Let's get the creative juices flowing - maybe it's time for some rainy day project ideas. Think of things to improve the house, or just fill your time with some fun! Stay amused and make the gloomy time fly!
Ideas for yourself:
Keep a journal for these rainy days - write about all you've done the week before, all you plan to do after the storm passes, or just free write and let your thoughts flow. This can take up more time than you think!
Call someone you haven't talked to in a while.
Treat yourself to a little spa day - from home! Candles, sweets, relaxing bath soak, warm and snuggley rob; treat yourself to the works!
Maybe you simply need to spend some quality time with the family pet. Play with your animal, give them a bath or a brushing. They need your attention, too!
Thinking you'd like to do something that's a little more productive for the house life? No problem - here's some ideas there:
Rearrange some thing - you don't even have to go crazy here. You can simply switch the places of two pieces of furniture to change the feel of a room and open things up. Then again, if you're feeling bold go nuts and totally change the look of the room!
Organize your photos, and hang that art you've been wanting to! It's a great time to make sure everything is hanging level and decorating your space the exact way you'd like.
Have some craft time! Spray paint your welcome matt to make it feel more warm, and well...welcoming. Wrap your lamps in twine or some other material, or even make designs all over the for a new look. Attach wallpaper to your nightstand tables, or give them some accent color with paint! Have any extra fabric lying around? You could sew some new designs on your throw pillows!
On a bigger level of craftiness, pant your bathroom or give your living room that accent wall you've talked about! Be as intricate or simple as you want. It's amazing how much a little color can change a room.
