Northampton is located in Spring Texas; just to the north of Klein Oak High School and just to the south of the Woodlands in Harris County. It is thought that the Live Oak Tree you see when you first enter the subdivision is over 100 years old.  This is one of many trees Northampton is known for its towering pines and hardwoods throughout the subdivision.  The Northampton story give information about the area dating back to the 1750's.

The subdivision has been in existence since the 1960's.  The older section is at the front of the community and has large estate homes on equally large lots with lots of hardwoods and pine trees.  

Located to the left and to the right of the older homes are Northampton Pines and Northampton Forest.  These have homes built in the last 10 years.  Typically they start at about 2400 square feet and go up to about 4000.  Also located at the front of the subdivision is the community center.  There's an Olympic size swimming pool, fishing pond, tennis courts, playground and the MUD houseSince the mid 1990's the sudvisision has experienced tremendous growth and now has approximately 1200 homes.

Wondering to the back of the community down the tree lined boulevard will bring you to the estate section of Northampton and to the Willow Creek golf club.  This is a private golf club; it is not open to the public. 

Northampton is located in the highly acclaimed Klein ISD.  The schools are all within walking distance from the front of the subdivision.  If you are wondering about the cows they are  the schools neighbors.  When you leave the subdivision you truly feel like you are in the country but you have all the conveniences of the city.
