In our area, the rental market for single family homes and townhomes with garages is VERY tight so people moving into the area for new employment options are having RENTAL STICKER SHOCK on the 1) RENTAL AMOUNTS; 2) RENTAL VIEWING process; and 3) SPEED of the process....so when a rental prospect contacted me from his NEW employer's e-mail address and I have known and worked with that employer for years, I was happy to respond to his inquiry.
After responding that I needed him and his wife to complete applications forms ONLY and that I would be happy to schedule a viewing.
His response was that he had seen my application form online and did not wish to complete it....in some VERY CHOICE WORDS not suitable for children.
Now...I can understand this if 1) he has bad credit; or 2) they do not have sufficient funds for the move-in monies to secure the townhouse....however, using VERY CHOICE WORDS from his EMPLOYER'S e-mail is probably NOT the smart thing to do.
After responding that I needed him and his wife to complete the rental application form online prior to viewing the home that is featured VACANT on my website, I received a NASTY e-mail response that they will not complete the appliation.
My response was that my husband and I have know his EMPLOYER for years (a local retailer) and that I had looked forward to helping him in his rental home search for his family....I wonder if he will get that he should NOT use his PERSONAL e-mail address if he wants to SNARK at his local customers.
