- Allow your kids to pack their own things. Giving them that simple sense of security lets them pack their way, and gives them the confidence that they are trusted with their decisions.
- Ensure they will not only make new friends, but will keep in touch with the old ones. This is crucial – kids need to know they will not lose their old friends. Letting them know they will not only keep the old ones, but gain many new ones in return will make them want to move to the new home!
