San Rafael Dream House Raffle -- And The Winner Is…

By
Real Estate Agent with Marin Modern Real Estate
The excitement is just beginning for Kent Myers of Whidbey Island, Washington, the lucky winner of the $2.1 million dream house in San Rafael CA.  It all began with the purchase of a raffle ticket and ended Saturday afternoon when his name was pulled out of the transparent spinning barrel that held the winning ticket along with thousands of other hopefuls.

The Community Action Marin dream house raffle party was in full swing with live music, food, and drinks when the big drawing was made. Throughout the afternoon, cash prizes were awarded as anticipation mounted.  The suspense was finally relieved when the Grand Prize winner was announced.

34,000 raffle tickets were sold at $150 apiece, netting about $2 million for Community Action Marin, a private non-profit agency that works to meet the needs of the poor and disadvantaged in Marin County.  The Grand Prize is a $2.1 million home in San Rafael California (or $1.7 million in cash – winner’s choice), overlooking the San Francisco Bay.  The door prizes included 349 cash awards, ranging from $300 to $25,000.

For all of you that didn’t win, but would love to live in Marin County, visit Marin Modern Real Estate for help on all your real estate needs.

We are running a penthouse raffle to benefit InnVision.  Do you have any tips to share on what works well and what works not so well in these things?
