The Criminal Element is down to three members.
Three of the guys - Flo, Amy & Ernie - left with our friends Mark & Anne last Wednesday, headed for the Left Coast and the beginning of their great adventures. Reports from the road indicated a smooth and easy trip. Yesterday, two more - Wanda & Madonna - were picked up by their new families here in Fort Collins. And next Thursday, Bertha leaves for Chicago. That will leave Grover & Bert. Bert is going to be staying with us until June 5th, when his new owners will return from a trip - until then, he'll be an honorary member of our pack.
I think I needed it to happen this way, with a gradual tapering off. It has been an awesome 8 weeks, full of love and puppy kisses and play and snuggling - it's a good thing Mary is letting me keep Grover (and probably a good thing it's her call - I would probably have kept all 8).
So this is our final regular puppy report. After this, it will just be My Dog Grover, and I'll do that on occasion, just like you all do. And we may have a few supplemental reports when Grover, Bert, Madonna and Wanda get together for play dates. Until then, thanks for tuning in and sharing the fun.
