Strut your Stuff in Prospect CT

As I was driving down one of our Prospect CT roads this morning, Tom just came walking out of the woods and crossed the road behind me. I had to stop and see if he would pose for me, and he did.

turkey

I'll bet he knows what month it is, but will know better than to walk so blatantly come October and hunting season opens.

I love it Ed! They must have a built-in sonar that tells them it is safe to be seen this time of year and when to cross the road. Great catch!

I love your quote that he had better watch out when it is hunting season. He looks very cavalier at the moment but wait till October than we will see.  GREAT picture and thank you.

Ed, I have a whole family of Tom's relatives hanging out in our neighborhood and the woods behinds our street.  They make frequent appearances but are quick about crossing the roads.   Nice shot.

Ed == Tom is a very smart Turkey.. He knows it is spring and he can stop and post for your photo.  Once the temperatures start to cool Tom will be moving much more quickly.

I love having wildlife coming out. In our suburban areas we don't see them quite as often, but we have had deer visit and roadrunners. Of course the coyotes are happy to drop by for a visit and the mountain lions will pass through sometimes.

Good morning, Ed. At one time, turkeys were few and far between here in TN. Now it is not unusual to see a flock of 20 - 30 at a time. No hunting season in TN on turkeys...

Hi Ed.   I do believe a flock of these just clinched a sale for me crossing the driveway to a listing as we pulled up.

Hi Ed, one thing about CT is that there's plenty of wildlife on the roads. I saw a family of deer cross just the other day!

:)
